Tanya Jo Oates joined the Department on June 1st as the new Department Administrator replacing Deborah Moore who retired on May 1st. Tanya arrived in the middle of the pandemic without having a chance to meet all of us in person. Nevertheless, she is getting to know us by remote interactions, and sometimes in-person interactions like helping the new faculty get settled. Tanya successfully shepherded the department's reopening process.
